Welcome to Forde Class

Our Reception Class is known as Forde Class.

Our class is taught by Miss Ledbury and Mrs Dugmore. Miss Ledbury has a passion for the Early Years and has spent all her teaching career to date, teaching in the Foundation Stage. Mrs Dugmore has a wealth of experience, teaching children across most year groups. She has a lot of experience teaching in the Foundation Stage.         

Our brilliant teaching assistants are Mrs Johns and Mrs Nichol. Our class is also supported by the Nursery Class staff, during the children’s ‘Playing and Learning Time’. This is a time when both our Nursery Class and Reception Class children come together in our Foundation Unit.

Our class provides a happy place where the children are cared for and nurtured in their first full time year of school. We support the children to be the best that they can be as we encourage a growth mindset. 

We love to encourage children to explore and engage in fun and purposeful learning experiences as they become curious, independent learners. Learning through play is a priority.

We respect Christian values.

We use Tapestry to engage with and to share some of our learning and news with our parents and families.
