Permanent Teaching Assistant Required to start 1st September 2022

Wolborough CE Nursery and Primary School is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who is enthusiastic, skilled and flexible to work as part of our dedicated and positive team. The successful applicant must be able to work across KS1 and KS2. Wolborough is a one form entry, town school with a very welcoming staff and great community spirit.

We are looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant. You will be required to provide support both in and out of the classroom environment including some lunchtime cover. You must have a passion for helping children learn and develop, be able to build good relationships and have good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. A knowledge of communication needs and the ability to manage behaviour issues would be desirable. The successful applicant will support small groups of children and individuals of all abilities, under the direction of the teacher or HLTA. Part of the role will be to support children with Social and Emotional Needs.

We are a Church of England School and applicants must be supportive of our Christian ethos.

This is a B Grade post, hours: approx. 31.25 hours per week across 5 days. Should you wish to apply for less hours, this option would be considered if it is possible to fill the role with two applicants. Applicants are also very welcome to telephone to arrange a visit to look around.
